The us government does have much larger drones with that capability. As technology goes. Things get smaller with time. So who knows

For the size of those rotors, compared to the weight that must be lifted even if that thing was equipped with a .22 caliber SMG of the lightest polymer construction possible, you are still looking at needing so much thrust that the tips of those rotors would probably be breaking the sound barrier, so good luck with that. Also, if that had been real, how many times while flying it around, would it have had its live weapon turn past the people filming that? Totally unsafe, bordering on suicidal, to be anywhere near that thing without a layer of bulletproof glass between it and the people involved. Might as well hand an AK47 to a chimpanzee.

Do anyone look close the controler ? The video on that wasnt very good for being so close to the drone ,and at the very lease the drone looks like it does fly

So 1990s thinking aready you can deploy drones via air drop from other long range drones there's is one that you can mount an m4a1 to with extended rounds but that's saying to much ;)

I don't understand why they have a quadrotor, yet also have all four of them pivoting, and apparently in multiple axis each... it sure looks neat, but I'd have to almost certainly say it's fake. Also fake, getting a nice close look at the SMG on there, there's no apparent magazine, and I can pretty much guarantee the recoil from an automatic weapon, especially one magically light enough to be carried on something that small, is going to provide a kick far exceeding what is shown in the video. Having fired automatic weapons, I'll say if you're not ready for it, it's about like holding a pressure washer at full power, it'll make you start taking steps back if your footing wasn't ready. Also, the barrel is very low and firing tangent compared to the CG, which couldn't be worse for providing a torque that would try to pitch the aircraft in a forward roll.

The only thing to applaud here is some very nice special effects and slipping computer graphics into real footage *almost* flawlessly. At high quality and full screen, it really looks unnatural when flying. The "first person" view when firing also shows almost no reaction to recoil during automatic fire, when it should be showing distinct and abrupt effects to the point of aim.

good job with the video, although the "drone" sometimes moves in completely absurd way (considering the propeller thrust) :D

Agree. I can't understand, how it does not get any recoil.
No, obviously he said that this drone is 10-15 years in the future, but still.. To be unaffected like that when firing a machine gun from a flying object, that flying object in all likelyhood must be a full-size manned helicopter

There are some guns that has no recoil at all but by 2015 we have metal storm ... So it be more compact then what they showed Imagine this in a drone it be like that vid where the guy mount a fire work on ar drone
